Well it took alot of courage but I finally uploaded my first Youtube video this morning. I filmed it yesterday morning and edited it and then spent the rest of yesterday and this morning trying to find the right way to optimize it. Youtube has a 100mb limit and none of the programs I have contain the option to tell it how big you need the file, so I had to do a bit of experimenting until I found the trick. I'm so nervous in that video but it's understandable I guess. I hope to be able to act more naturally in future videos. Guess I'll start on my next video now. After a little research I found the best program to do video editing in, Adobe Premiere Elements 3! I should have known it would be a program from Adobe, duh. So this past week I've been learning and playing around with that. But of course, nothing can be easy can it? I figured since I still had some video I haven't captured from my camcorder I'd practice on that, it should be quick right? Wrong. It wasn't the program that gave me problems, it was the camcorder. First of all my computer wouldn't install the driver for it, so I had to install it on my laptop, then the sound wouldn't capture for some reason. I tried different programs and then finally it worked in Windows Movie Maker (the last place you'd think). After that, the quality is horrible, looks worse than VHS. I can't take it back to the store, it's been too long, I should have captured the movies off sooner. Anyway, I went ahead and put the captures in order, added some titles and effects, and it's encoding it right now. It sure is going slow, I think it's going to take all night, and my computer is pretty decent. Strange.

Anyway, I'm pretty comfortable with the program, got the basics down and all. I'll be making my first video soon, I'm just working on my list of stuff to talk about in my intro video.

Yeah, figure I'll start using this journal whenever I think of it, mostly writing about World of Warcraft. This Vox place is the neatest journal site I've ever tried. I added some videos of Green Day yesterday just to try it out, since we get unlimited youtube space I'll be adding more of my favorite ones from time to time. In WoW news, yesterday I got my level 50 Jewelcrafter Mage to Outland and continued her craft. She got up to 358 jewelcrafting before the auction house ran out of materials. I couldn't believe that the cut gems don't stack so one of my mailboxes is filled up with them until I can sell them all. -.-;; *Mumbles "Always a catch"*
